Meet The Team

Charles W Forshaw

Director - Adlington & Chorley

I started in Estate Agency in 1998, I have worked my way up through the ranks as initially an administrator, negotiator, valuer, branch manager and then area manager. In 2003 I was head hunted by a property investment company where I worked as an acquisition manager purchasing distressed properties on behalf of high net worth clients. In 2005 I trained as a property auctioneer and headed up a well-known north west based auction company. In 2007 I purchased Live Well Lettings and then in 2010 purchased nationwide property specialist which together with further acquisitions they form what today is known as Nationwide Estate Agents. Ten years on I still love my work, especially the varied nature of the property that we deal with. Whether it’s a flat above a shop in Leyland or a Grade 1 Listed coastal property in Silverdale; every home has its quirks, every vendor has their expectations, and I am strong believer that there is a buyer out there for everything! It is our job to make this happen.

Danny Mckeown

Lettings Manager – Adlington

I have worked in lettings and management now for 13 years, almost 7 of those have been with Nationwide. In doing so, it’s given me a great breadth of experience across the property sector. This job encompasses so much of what I enjoy from providing a personal service to our clients whether they have one property or sixty to seeing that joy on the face of someone as they find a property they love and all of a sudden find themselves planning their move in. I spend time both in the office and on the road overseeing our lettings operation at our Chorley and Adlington branches but also personally attending to our larger clients and their specific needs.

Jane Shovelton

Lettings – Adlington

You could say I am the foundation of our Adlington office, having been based there for 11 years and counting, so it’s fair to say, I know most of our lettings clients off the top of my head. I enjoy developing a great rapport with our clients, tenants and contractors to ensure we deliver a great management and letting experience from the valuation right through to moving someone in and overseeing the tenancy as it progresses. Every day is a new challenge as on some days it could be a call about a loose tile on a roof but the next day it could be dealing with a new move in and ensuring all of our paperwork is spot on.

Nichola Beesley

Lettings Negotiator - Chorley

Nichola joined the team in 2019 after an extensive and successful career in sales. With a professional and enthusiastic manner, Nicola's key role is to find the right property for the right tenant and oversees this process from initial enquiry to moving in, keeping our landlords up to date throughout.

Emily Wilson - Chorley

Sales Negotiator

Emily began her Estate Agency career at Nationwide in 2018 as a Sales Negotiator coming from education where she gained qualifications including Business and Photography. Her excellent technical skills assist in presenting properties on a range of platforms. Emily has quickly become an integral part of the team, with a friendly and professional manner and is able to guide buyers through their move by understanding their needs and matching them to their perfect property.

Jonathan Fletcher

Lettings & Sales -Adlington & Chorley

My role is out on the road. Not one to be tied to a desk I spend my days showing clients the latest stock that we have available both for sale and for let. The variety is the key - one minute I am avoiding holes in floors and dodging rain water through ceilings with a buyer looking for a project whilst. Next it boots and wellies time showing the delights that the rural lifestyle can bring to someone looking for a small holding. Then again not forgetting a routine property inspection on one of our many tenanted properties. There just as important for the tenant as the Landlord if nothing more than a prompt to check the batteries in the smoke alarm or to report that fence panel that fell down last week which we don’t yet know about.

David Whelan

Sales and Lettings Viewing Assistant

David is often the first member of our team that clients will meet when a viewing a property for sale or to let. He takes a great pride in his work and ensures viewers have time to appreciate the key points of the properties and have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have. Nothing is too much trouble for David. He has an extensive background in financial advice and is also therefore able to discuss the overall purchase process in an informal manner. Living locally, David is a great asset to the team.

Lettings Portfolio Manager

Vespa

Meet & Greet

Hi – my name is “Vespa” and I am a pedigree Dalmatian.

Although a lady doesn’t like to reveal her age I am actually quite proud to be 10 years old.

My fellow staff members however, will tell you that I can behave like and excitable 4 year old sometimes!

I started work in the office just this year and so far I am loving every minute. My main duties are to “meet and greet” I’m very good at this.

I also get out and about when I can and so far I have sniffed out some fantastic properties.

My other duties include office security - but my favourite is – Paper shredding!

Look out for me on Facebook & Twitter – I aim to become a social media diva.
